Black Stars Cup II – a complete success

Last weekend 20 teams competed for the treasured Black Stars Cup. The tournament was set on the lawn of the impressive Münster castle. During the preliminary round all teams impressed with their commitment the many spectators at the field. Eight teams moved up into the final round. During the finals spirits were high despite incipient rain.

During a spectacular final Casual FC won over FC Barrio Hansa 3:1, and Münster FC beat Monasteria during the penalty shoot-out and came third. René Averdick received the trophy for top scorer. The teams and organisers of Our Children were very happy with the outcome. The main organiser Jörg Aschendorff commented:”We are very pleased about the number of participating teams and spectators. Our encouragement enjoyed great popularity. See you again in 2010!”
