Report on the work camp 2009
In 2009 Our Children organised its second work camp with German and Ghanaian students in the small community Santrokofi Bume in Ghana ’s Volta region. Within three weeks the local Kids’ Corner building was extended by a library and a room for the computer school.
A sportsground, including a basketball field and table tennis table, and a playground with slides, swings, a seesaw, a tower and several balancing stations were erected on the premises surrounding the building.
The local community broadly supported the project and thereby also evoked a lively cultural exchange between all participants. The successful cooperation ensures the project’s acceptance in the region and allows for further collaboration. Donate now for the extension and establishment of the library and computer school.
